Cherie holds a master’s degree in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Vermont. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Learning Sciences and Technologies, where she studies how people learn and grow. As a first-generation college student and the first in her family to earn a master’s degree, Cherie understands the value of having someone in your corner while navigating new academic challenges. She loves both learning and teaching and enjoys helping students work through challenging concepts in a way that feels approachable and encouraging.

Outside of academics, Cherie loves to travel and has visited around 30 countries. She also loves challenging herself to learn new things, whether that's learning to swim, becoming scuba dive certified, picking up cycling, or completing her first marathon last year. Her next goal is to complete a mini triathlon! She believes learning doesn't stop in the classroom and loves encouraging students to stretch themselves, try new things, and grow along the way.
