Hi, I’m Mr. Jared.
Teaching is my passion, it always has been and always will be.
I have been tutoring since my university days, working with my peers in the SCAD Atlanta Ivy Hall Review writing studio, where I helped fellow students compose college-level course papers, short stories, poems, and other creative compositions. After graduating, I would gallivant from various copywriting and consulting contracts before trying my hand at working within the Atlanta Public School system. As part of the GSU's MAT program, I served as a student teacher in the Fulton First Step program at Sandtown Middle School, helping 6th graders in ELA. My duties included demonstrating writing techniques and further developing their reading comprehension. Although I had to leave that program due to familial responsibilities at the time, I learned a great deal about teaching much younger students.
Throughout all these experiences, the drive to earn my master's degree in English and become a university professor has only grown stronger. To me, the opportunity to work for a tutoring firm is a chance to hone my craft, share my passions, and help build a strong connection between student and teacher—a bond that I know firsthand is crucial in fostering a lifelong love of learning. This is especially true with English Language Arts, as both an art form and a profession.
Simply put, I am a good tutor because this is both a career and a passion for me. As the saying goes, if you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life. Tutoring is that field for me. Always has been, always will be.
